The Espace multimedia gantner started up its collection of digital media artworks in 2004, most of which can be consulted on site free of charge. You can discover all the works here plus the related documentation, which is regularly updated. The themes include identity, immigration, science fiction, fiction, feminism, memory and media manipulation.
To have more informations about our collection, two books were published by Les Presses du réel :

(Only in french)[/vc_column_text][/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”Conservation, restauration”][vc_column_text]As digital media are unstable by nature, the Espace multimedia gantner worked on how to conserve and restore digital artworks by participating in the Interreg project led by the ZKM (Karlsruhe – Germany) entitled “Digital art in the collections of the Upper Rhine Region. Conservation, Restoration, Sustainability”, otherwise known as the Digital Art Conservation project.
The first phase of the Digital Art Conservation project was devoted to developing documentation and making an inventory of digital art collections in the Upper Rhine Region. Backed by the partners’ long experience in the field of preserving and showcasing digital art, the second phase focused on contributing to the international debate on the new theme of conservation.
The project ran from January 2010 to December 2012 and was co-funded by the European programme Interreg IV Upper Rhine Region.
